I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...in 1996 I had to stop working because of an illness. While I was at home waiting for a lung to be available, I tuned in to the Today show and saw BSB for the first time and was hooked from first sight. In 1999 I had a right lung transplant. I was unconscious for a couple of months. During that time, though I was out of it, I could hear BSB playing. I thought it was part of the hallucinations I was having until I finally opened my eyes and saw the poster of them hanging on the hospital room wall and the CD player. My family knew how much I adored BSB and hoped that it would help me recover quicker. I guess you could say that God and BSB brought me back to life. (and the great hospital staff, of course!) The funny thing was that the family of the patient in the room next to mine would sing BSB songs to their grandmother. That was so cool! My first concert was a couple of months after my transplant. I caught the Millennium concert in Atlanta and their Black & Blue concert in San Diego and I haven't come down from the BSB cloud. (side note: If Nick sees this or somebody who knows him. Does he have the cross stitch I made of him? He would have gotten it from the Black & Blue San Diego concert. They made me leave it at the entrance. I was so bummed because I don't know if he received it or not. It had a little card on it that said Ghetto Bootay Society. Oh well, I guess that's one question that may never get answered.) I will ALWAYS be a Backstreet Boys fan; even if, hopefully it won't happen for a LONG time, they decide not to continue as a group. I will always be fans of the individual men as well. Thank you BSB for YOUR love and support. You will always have mine. =)
