I LOVE LOVE LOVE this album Most of the songs have captured my heart in the ways that the guys oldies did. But I did find that PDA and She's A Dream are a little odd...and I don't exactly enjoy those songs but the album all together is spectacular. Keep up the good work guys Can't wait to see you in December

First of all I bought this album after Christmas and I have to said. Nice album, in fact when I heard the complete album I got like OMG! This album sounds different than the others, I definitely like the album. Eu adoro o album. I love the song Straight to my heart, and also one called Masquerade. I was surprise to listen PITBULL on the CD. I admire his music a lot.

LMAO. I am such a dumbass! I made this review in October or something, but I put it in my blog. I discover just now that I can post reviews here!

Ok, prepare... it's a big ass review. I never reviewed an album or movie or whatever else before, so... I dunno exactly how big a review is supposed to be hehe..

Anyways.. here goes!

*** Straight Through My Heart ***

This song is very special to me, because it was this song that made me a fan. You might be thinking something like "what? weren't you a fan before then?". And the answer is: No, I wasn't a fan before. Like I said in my review on the concert in Rotterdam; I liked BSB when I was little but once I grew older I was interested in other artists. In early August this year a friend from Finland told me BSB had a new single. So, at first I thought to myself "yeah, so what?". I wasn't that much of interested haha. xD Just to be nice (and still cause I was a bit of curious) I watched the YouTube link she sent me. I was like, totally in love with the song! It's catchy, it's modern, it's a song that gets stuck in your head immediately, oh, and the lyrics are really cool. In one word: AWESOME. So.. yeah. I had it on my iPod in no time and I was listening to it non-stop! That's why it's special to me. Review is big enough, I suppose?

*** Bigger ***

My first thought when I heard this song for the first time was, "Omg. This song makes me so happy!" And it still does! It gives me this... how to say it? (lmao my English is obviously not my native language!) this funny feeling in my stomach. Okay, I meant to say something else but I can't put it in the right words. (I'm such a goooose.)
Anywayz... the lyrics are geniously brilliant. "First off I can't keep a promise, I'm noone to count on at all. Add on that I'm a coward, too scared to return your calls". I think it's funny because I can't imagine the guys actually being like that.
Got one question about one line in the song and that's the line "Often I'm blacker than white". I looked up the lyric on the internet. (http://www.azlyrics.com/b/bsb.html is the one I always visit! Bit of promoting here ) So I'm not sure if this is right. Anyway, I don't really understand what they mean with this. At first when I heard AJ singing this I was like "wtf, he's not black at all". LMAO. I know, stupid thought. Then I had a 2nd thought. In English class at school I remembered the teacher telling something about black and white lies. White lies were like "good" lies, something like saying your friend's coat looks pretty while actually you think it looks awful. And black lies... well, the opposite, I guess? Am I right or does it have another meaning? That one line got me confused for days! I keep on thinking about it! I think I'm right but not sure hehe.
So yeah, for the rest, the song is GRRRREAT. And the music vid is lovely. Tokyo seems like an awesome city!

*** Bye Bye Love ***

Ok, I gotta be honest, I didn't really like this song at first. BUT... there's a but! There are songs that need a "second listen". And for me, Bye Bye Love is a song like that. After listening to it several times, I grew more to the song (or how do you guys say that? xD ) And now, I like it heeeeell of a lot! The lyrics are really cool too. I especially like the "See, I don't want a girl that only wanna come back 'cause some other man broke her heart" bit. Don't ask me why, I just like it.

*** All Of Your Life (You Need Love) ***

AAAAH! This song is sooo in my list of "best songs ever" !!!! When I listened to it for the first on YouTube, I was totally dazzled. I was like... going all bouncing and jumping! This song gives me energy, adrenaline and it makes me feel so hyperactive! Like OH MY FLIPPIN GOD. That HAS to be the make-me-hyper-when-I'm-down-song! And it totally has the BSB sound! I also love this song because the lyrics are adorable! Like, it's get me going like "naw!" haha xD Another reason why I love this song is because it totally applies to me atm.
I NEED LOVE! There, I said it.
"Please don't change the way you are, soon you'll live within my heart. You deserve it, you know it. You've been searching for it all of your life." This is soooo true! I did have been searching for it all of my life. (Even though I'm only flippin 17 years old.) Gah, don't feel like telling a whole drama story here, but let's say... ehm... yeah, like the line says, I've been searching for love all of my life. The line "please don't change the way you are" gives me the strength to stay who I am and don't change so that other people might like me more. This song makes me remember that I have to be happy with who I am and that there's nothing wrong with me. (Ok, I'm a bit of crazy, but is there anything wrong with that really? )
Anywayz... this is defo one of my fav songs from this album.

*** If I Knew Then ***

Liked this song a lot quicker than Bye Bye Love. Yes, this song was also a second listen for me. But I'm totally liking the beat. I'm quite a R&B/Hiphop fan myself, so this song soon got me hooked.
"Life should be like a game of cards. You make a mistake, then fold the deck and start over. It should be just like drivin in your car. Get lost and your navigation system gets you closer." This perfectly describes how much I would have wanted to undo some mistakes I made. There are so many things I did where I think I could have done differently or I shouldn't have done at all. So, this definitely is one of my favourite lyrics.
All in all, the song is very catchy and the chorus gets stuck in your head easily.

*** This Is Us ***

I love the guitar play in the beginning. I love guitars in general, both electric and acoustic. I play the Spanish guitar myself so I always like songs with guitar plays.
Then the piano play and the beat that comes in at the same time when Brian sings, is just PERFECT. I really compliment the guys for a nice piece of music art like this!
As for the chorus, lovely. A girl just has to give in if a guy would sing this to her! At least I would give in.
I also like the "this is love, this is love" after the four times of "this is us". It gives a bit of variation in the chorus and it doesn't make it too boring hearing "this is us" a thousand times, though I didn't notice they sang "this is love" at first! xD Only when I listened very carefully, I did.
"I could flip back over that hour glass and refill the better half." This line is very good. Even though I love the whole lyric of this song, this line especially caught my eye (or ear hehe).
I think this title is being chosen great to put it as the album title. When I read it, it seems as if it says "This is us! The Backstreet Boys! Still there, still hot!" Hah!

*** PDA ***

OH MY GOOD GOD. This song is HOTT. If this song would be played in a club I would sooo go wild and shake "what my momma gave me" (aka Nick in the conversation mix of All I Have To Give, when he says "a girl that likes to shake what her momma gave her". Hehe )!
OMFG. Can't believe I just said that. XD
It's sexy, it's naughty, it's catchy, it's the s***. Totally love this song. This shows BSB isn't just all lovely and cute. It shows they have a sexy and naughty side as well! (Although you also have If You Want It To Be Good Girl, but that song is just really bad haha!)
I had to figure out what "public display of affection" meant though. Gosh, I was I was American or something. *sigh* Anyway, you go to Google Pictures, type "public display of affection" and you get loads of pics LMAO. I was like, ooooh yeaaaaahh! xD
Oh, and I defo like the woman talking in between. I guess that just gives the extra touch to the sexyness of the song.
"You're the fingers to my instrument." ALARM. WRONG THOUGHTS! Especially when AJ is singing this! Dear AJ, what do I have to do with you? Don't get my fantasy on EXTREME now.
One of the best songs on the album. It's the first song I pick from my BSB playlist on my iPod. (Yeah, I actually have a BSB playlist. DON'T LAUGH AT ME! ... You'd be crazy to not have one!)
MAKE THIS SONG THE 3RD SINGLE PRETTY PLEASE!

*** Masquerade ***

Tut tut tut. STOP MAKING ME GO ALL HYPER YOU GUYS! This song is the SHIZZ!!!!! *squeals like a little girl with a new barbie doll* Ok, that comparison was a bit odd.
F*CK YES! The beat ROCKS. The lyrics ROCK. The whole song ROCKS. I so totally want this song to be the 4th single! Or maybe the 3rd and PDA the 4th? I DON'T CARE! IT HAS TO BE A SINGLE!
I want to hear this song in the club. I would soooo dance like I never danced before and just be damn proud that I am a fan of this awesome group!
"Yearning, I'm yearning for the one to steal my eyes. Wanna play in this game of disguise." Liking this line a lot. GREAT SONG.

*** She's A Dream ***

Okay, I gotta be honest. The "HUM HAH" or whatever bit in the beginning is a bit weird. It makes me think of Indians dancing around a fire. Or some bushman. Cracked myself up again with that thought. xD
Alright.. furthermore, I still like the song. Although it was again a second listen song. I can totally hear T-Pain worked on this track. And personally, I think T-Pain rocks. So, I was like "sweet!" when I read the guys worked with T-Pain. The "make her say oooh, make her say aaaah" bit is really hot to listen to, especially when I have the volume on my iPod quite loud. Not gonna write down what I almost wanted to write down. That would be so inappropiate. XD
Great lyrics, but seriously guys; who DOESN'T know you're a celebrity?! Still complimenting you for the lyrics though.

*** Shattered ***

This song is so sad. Not a good idea to listen to it when your bf/gf just broke up with you. I think I would seriously be "left with my tears on the floor".
It's still really beautiful, exactly a touching BSB ballad. Lovely. Amazing. Fantastic.
The guys did a great job on this! It's defo one of my favourite songs! (I'm a sucker for sad ballads)
And Brian singing "shatteeeeeered" 3 times like that at the end of the chorus just gives the song that extra touch that makes the song so sad, it makes you wanna cry right there.
The guys are singing this song with so much feeling. It's really pretty. *sniff* Damn, I promised myself to not get emotional here! ...
Just kidding.
Favourite line: "In the middle of my heart it's a battlefield of love, I've been fighting for too long". Really great choice to let Brian and Howie sing this.
OH OH! I nearly cried (seriously!) when Howie sang "you took my emotions and scattered them on the ground" Loving that bit! Okay.. that's my 2nd favourite line.
I'd say, make this one a single too. xD

*** Undone ***

This song reminds me of another song that I know BUT I FORGOT! Argh! *bumps her head against a wall* Ow.
Anyway, I love this song a lot. Sad lyrics but the music is great and so are the voices.
The beginning made me think the quality of the song sucked though. Until I heard the electric guitar and the violins very clearly. Just gotta say this; LOVE THE GUITAR! That in combination with the violins makes the song start off really promising! The chorus is really awesome, my compliments!
Anyway, don't know this song for that long, so can't really give that much of a big ass review like I did on some other songs.
Amazing song, though!

Wait! Gotta write down my favourite line! "You seem so unaffected while I go on in this hell." Dunno why, but this line stood out for me.

*** Helpless ***

I liked this song right from when I heard it for the first time, especially because of the chorus! Something about it made me love it right away! The song starts off really good. The lyrics are fantastic as well. I got several favourite lines from this song:
"I wake up every morning and see your face lying right beside me, it fills the space in my heart."
"I can't live without you, don't wanna figure out how to."
"I witness every trick you got up your sleeve but still somehow you keep on surprising me."
Yes, yes, I like this song a lot, you can tell with 3 favourite lines!
Then the next thing that made me "OMG" was the fact that it features Pitbull! Not really a huge fan of him but his songs are cool. Plus, he is totally popular in Europe atm, so I'd say, perfect choice to cooperate with him!
The funny thing is that when I didn't know who was rapping at first, I thought it was Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes. It sounded like him! Then when I read it was Pitbull my jaws literally dropped DOOOWN.
I was like "what the hell? how?" just a bit of surprised.
Anywayz.. überamazing song!

*** International ***

Hmmhmm... dunno what to say? Not really impressed by this song. Would it be really mean from me to say that I'm glad it's a Japanese bonus track and not a European? I guess it's mean, but that's really what I think about it. I think it doesn't really fit with the other songs from the album.
Oh well, it's the Japanese that has to cope with this song. Not European Dutchie me. (Okay that was really mean! )
Cannot really give a favourite line from this song. *hangs head down and walks away sadly*

Ok, Hologram might be a bit "off" compared with the other songs, but STILL. I love it! Mehh..
But Fallen Angel! *knock knock* Helloooo?? That song is awesome! The lyrics are so good!
"How does it feel to be a fallen angel? Your wings are lying on the ground." <-- Favourite line!
Could've better replaced International with Fallen Angel. *hides behind couch for an attack of boo's and tomatoes*
