Nicky's Never Gone In My Heart

For starters, 1997 was the best year in the music business. Lots of Blonde guys to choose from (all of Hanson and Nicky). I also like how Spice Girls would say "Girl Power!"

In 1996 my dad subscribed me to 16 Magazine and I went from talking all about the Golden Oldies station (which I LOVE still) to getting into modern day pop culture. During 1996 before I turned 13 in October, I wanted to look just like the teen models with all the trendy styles, clothing, jewelry, and make-up. It resulted in me looking (from what others said to me) like a model who stepped out of a magazine. I went to Bath & Body Works all the time, wore foundation on my face, blush, eye shadow, and chokers (does "Chokers" ring a bell anyone?), necklaces and earrings. I had my entire wall covered with Nicky's pix and the rest of the Backstreet Boys and Hanson.

One time I was talking about "Nicky this and Nicky that" that my 10 year old brother laughed so hard and said "Nick-ee is on a totally different level than you" The good news is that all these maturer guys I can now date. ;-D

Back to the subject, I've always felt the Backstreet Boys' music is sooo sooo much more heartfelt. To this day I have tons of teen mags from 1996-1997. During 1996 I had a crush on Devon Sawa from the movie "Wild America" (which that tape I still have:).

I first went to see Backstreet Boys in concert during their Never Gone tour in Marysville, California (near Sacramento) with my brother. My brother is such a cool brother, he never made me feel sad at all. He was happy that I was happy. Howie's sister Pollyanna is a good singer, but not the other. No offense. I bought a poster, a necklace and a tour pictures book.

When "I Want It That Way" started, my brother said "That's one of my favorite songs". After it was over we both agreed that Backstreet Boys put on a 1st rate show!! My brother also admired Nicky because he was playing the guitar. He also sees Nicky as multi- talented compared to a lot of other singers.

I also love Nicky's relationships with his siblings. He's mature, responsible, reliable to name a few. Nick's TV show "House of Carters" made me glued to the TV screen. What better way to know Nicks personal life.

I'll always be a fan. God willing, I'd love to meet Nicky. He's taking on a gigantic responsibility to take care of all his siblings, make them get along, and etc.

Nicky deserves a round of applause.

Thanks for reading.

Sincerely,
~ ELYSIA ~
