Have been a fan since the beginning.

Saw them at The Liverpool Echo Arena 7th May 2008. They were absolutely fantastic.
Went to see them in Manchester 3 years ago also. Was right at the front both times and managed to shake Brian's hand.

not that i completely disliked nsync coz i did listen to some of their music... after all, music is music... but they weren't the same to me, I just couldn't love that band as much as i love the Backstreet Boys! I've always been a big fan of BSB since I first heard them, and SO PROUD that they're still together, still making music for us today... they've proven a whole lot and overcame that "boy band" craze... which I believe BSB had opened the doors for a lot of those one-time hit boy bands (backstreet started that whole era, and finishing it might I add!!) but I also think BSB shouldn't be considered just a boy band... they're really strong talented artists! but who cares what the industry calls them... point is their still here, with or without Kevin, they're still doing good and are the only group who stayed true to their fans.... that's what I love about them, they don't leave us stranded even when they did their own solo projects between Black & Blue and Never Gone. I was always defending BSB when ppl had thought they were broken up, just coz they weren't heard of any more didn't mean anything to me... hehe I always believed they'd be in it for the long run..... they've proven their longevity for the past 15 years, and more years to come! I still can't believe I've been a fan for nearly ten of those years.... it's amazing tho!

Let me just say that now that the boys and we, the fans, have matured over the years since they first began.... it's no longer about beating record sales, #1 hits, or getting placed top on the countdowns.....coz we know they'll always be the best to us. Now it's all about longevity, and BSB are here to stay!! (so are we coz look at all of us in this forum... congrats to us all for sticking around for so long!)

bsb forever and ever!!! i used to love Nsync, but i dont like them anymore just because they are not the backstreet boys. and to be honest with you, i dont even really like justin timberlake. he has like one OK song, but other than that, he sucks. well anyways no band will ever be as good as the backstreet boys, especially Nsync.

Well this is a BackStreet Boys fourm....So BACKSTREET BOYS!!! lol Well, yeah, they're awesome!! The thing I hated about Nsync was that only 2 members sang. J.C. & Justin. The other 3 you barely even heard. I mean, they have a couple of good songs but yeah Justin should stay solo. BACKSTREET BOYS BEST BAND EVER!!

i never liked n'sync,, i think bsb growed up with their music so much through the years, but n'sync never did that, they always did the same, they were "stuck in the moment". THEY'RE JUST A BAD COPY OF THE BSB

I've always been a BACKSTREET BOY fan, never Nsync.. EVER.. my cousin was huge fan of Nsync but i wouldn't listen to them w'd always get into fueds with eachother. According to like Born to be on much. the first manager for the backstreetboys went behind their backs and decided to manage nysnc too. soo its always been the BSB for ever until the end. and even then i'll love them. they been trough alot.. together and apart, and they need as much support as they can get. They have worked hard on their albums, unlike nsync everyone in the Bsb band can sing, dance, and do much more.. They all have a huge amount of talent. Nsync well justin took most of the fame.. and then like all you hear about is him, and personally hes not that great but hey thats my opinion. Backstreet Boys fan for life. <33

I think both bands are talented in their own ways.

I believe Nsync has a bit more "edge" to their music. Nsync is more of a get-up and dance, up-tempo, upbeat group while the Backstreet Boys are geared heavily more towards soothing, soulful power ballads quite often with hooks. Lead vocalist Justin Timberlake has a uniquely distinct higher pitched voice, pushing Nsync to a different level. Meanwhile, AJ and Brian vocals straddle a lower but more soothing dimension, enabling the boys to retain a sound quality better equipped at churning out solid tear jerking ballads. (click on more)

Both groups have had success releasing popular yet uncharacteristic tunes based on how I perceive their respective strengths to be. I believe both groups have benefited from each other's presence in the music industry. It simply has made them stronger. I believe they are the yin and yang to each other.

Plus, a question like such on a bias forum will obviously receive see-sawed, one sided answers. If the same question were posted on an Nsync website, you will hear praises for Nsync without question. We are on a Backstreet Boys forum, and BSB will undoubtedly get the nod here.

I love BSBs but I gotta admit I lost interest in them after their Black and Blue album. My least favorite BSB album! But their new album reminded me why I loved them in the first place back in 1997! I am totally digging "Never Gone" and "Unbreakable" right now!!! Their songs have matured so much and they sound wonderful and harmonic together. N Sync...they are the PAST and I liked some of their singles but they will never sound as BEAUTIFUL as the BSBs. Although I gotta admit I have JT's solo albums.Lol. I guess he is the only good thing that came out of N Sync. I am totally miffed at Lance Bass' rant about N Sync should have came out before the BSBs! NEVER, Lance!!!

Yeah I have been in those "mini" fight about who was best! I made sure I won !!!!!

I always honestly thought it was quite silly, that "feud" between the nsync fans and backstreet fans.

I personally was a fan of both bands. Sure i liked Backstreet more but i still like Nsync as well. They both had there share of good and not to good music. The media made it so those 2 would compete against eachother and watch the fans go crazy.

I'm not going to lie. If Nsync made a new cd. Id still go out and get it.

I'm going to continue to like both bands no matter what. i dont discriminate. all music and all bands are awesome.

i've been a backstreet boys' fan ever since.. i've been a fan for 13 years and i saw and listen to every boy bands that pop-up ever since i've been a fan but i think the BACKSTREET BOYS are the most sophisticated band because they don't need to compete just to be on top but their simplicity is the reason why they're always on top!

I will ALWAYS be a BSB fan. However, the harmonies of N'Stuck were more predominant than BSB's. I guess they had to be because that seemed like the only way they could compete against BSB. I'll give them a little credit for selling alot of CD's, but BSB outlasted them and it doesn't look like N'Stuck will get back together anytime soon. [Not that I want them to =)] There will always be a resurgence of boy bands. We should remember that BSB wasn't the first and they won't be the last. I'm old enough to remember New Kids On The Block. And don't forget the Beatles. People should embrace different bands and not compare them to one another. Otherwise, we would be missing out on some great music.
People should only be upset if some band formed and re-recorded BSB songs and claimed them as their own. If another five man band forms, more power to them. The quality is in the music and the longevity - not whether they were a "copy" of another band. Ok, I'll get off my soap box now...

ha ha ha! after all these years, it's so funny to know that this debate is still going on! i'm new to this website, so here's my two cents:

i'm a devoted nsync fan, but i wasn't always so. i was TOTALLY into BSB when they first came around. in fact, i hated those ugly nysnc-ers (okay, so that justin kid was alright). i thought they were too crazy and their music was so immature.

but they came for a concert in my hometown (sadly, BSB never did). so i thought i'd check them out just for the heck of it. and sorry to say... i was converted! don't get me wrong, i still supported BSB, but their persona could never reach the same energy as the nsyncers...and you know what? those formerly "ugly" dudes actually started to look cute to me.

anyways, sorry if i'm pissing you guys off, but i what i really want to say is that: I'M SO INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL THAT BSB IS STILL TOGETHER. THEY HAVE PROVEN THEIR LONGEVITY TO EVERYONE, AND THEIR PASSION FOR THEIR MUSIC IS AMAZING...and for that, i love them more than nsync.

i posted a response in the "off topic" board about kevin's absence, so you can read my thoughts on how wonderful the group is...the members of BSB are giving, caring, and want the best for the group as a whole (i'm sure kevin realized he couldn't commit his 100% if he stuck around). whereas Nsync has left us stranded...thanks a lot JT

look at groups like no doubt, black eyed peas (and maybe even destiny's child)...they give their standout singers a chance to do solo projects, but they always come back together for their fans! AND while solo, they never talk negatively about their previous images with their bands, or laugh at the idea of a reunion. JT has always been such a showhog (i always hated that about him). what a punk.

Obviously the BACKSTREET BOYS are the best, the only reason NSYNC were kinda successful is because the BACKSTREET BOYS paved the way for them. BSB knocked down all the barriers for Boy Bands to come have success in the charts again and then up pops NSync after all the hard work had been done.

I would have to say the Backstreet Boys. They were actually the first cd i ever got, then a couple years later i heard nsync and i liked them at first. Then i watched one of their concerts and it was pretty bad. I mean they were dancing around (sometimes out of step) and out of breathe and still managing to sing live, hmmmp, wonder how they managed that. Also, I kinda feel like they just stumbled into sucess. Ironicly, if it weren't for the BSB then nsync would have fallen flat on their faces. BSB opened the doors for them and nsync just couldn't measure up. The best band was left standing!

Backstreet all the way! The funny thing about NSync was they never were! Look at their videos over at You Tube and you'll see what I mean. Seriously, one of them or other is always a beat out when dancing.

Then re-watch BSB. They were (and are), just brilliant. Perfectly in step.

NSync has some good songs, but Timberlake apart, they were generic. I wouldn't know one of them if I passed them on the street. But all of BSB are so individual and packed with personality! That's why BSB are still here and still amazing.

I like them both but I prefer the BSB!

I'm from Mexico and here Nsync never had the success that the Boys had, as a matter of fact when the Boys came here was a real KAOS everybody wanted to see them the tickets were sold out in matter of minutes and outside the hotel there were a lot of fans and policeman and firefighters two moths latter Nsync came and well.... tickets were for free and outside the the hotel there were like no one. So I guess Nsync was a "success" only in USA and well look wich band is still standin'
