Looks like there's a lot of mad talk about the guys' appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice. I added my two cents in some replies to previous forum topics about the show but I thought I'd add it in here so true fans can defend the Boys!
I got to see the show, and I don't think they were that bad, I think it was edited to make it so that the job would be harder on the celebrity contestant. The focus was not to be on Backstreet Boys, the whole show is about the Celebrity Apprentice. Let's remember that! so while watching it, I didn't see BSB being immature, (I just laughed at their silly comments!) I mostly saw the country guy having to deal with his job duties and the show made it look like BSB was giving him a hard time which makes sense coz the focus is on the final two contestants competing in another project.
I watched the show to support the Boys and see them on tv, and I was glad I did coz they all looked great and it was funny to hear their (lame) comments. Maybe the comments were bad, but I don't think they were really being immature, i think they were bringing attention the whole purpose of the "apprentice" show, u know what i mean? Knowing the guys, they probably knew that they were gonna give the rider a hard time coz it is his job and they gotta keep it competitive for them, otherwise everything would be easy for the country guy and it would defeat the purpose of the whole show. What's a competition without the challenges?? What's winning without the stress of losing??
And besides, producers of these reality tv shows edit these episodes to add to the effect of the show! I also don't believe BSB to be that spoiled that they demand every single thing on the list every single time! it's probably just a general list that is made when they are on tour... I'm sure every entertainer has one of those lists with a whole bunch of random things on it! But it's not just BSB that go on tour, there's the band and the stage crew that go along with them, so a lot goes on backstage that fans hardly know about. BSB's appearance on the show was to provide a challenge for the competitor. Yeah, maybe some comments appeared bad, but what we saw on tv wasn't everything... producers have to had cut and edit some parts to look a certain way! it's TV, media.. uh, helloo??!
So the whole show shouldn't be turned around to be about BSB being spoiled or immature at all, they just appeared as part of the challenge for the show's competitors! it wasn't like it was "The BSB Show", it was "The Celebrity Apprentice"!!!
SO for those few fans who say they are no longer fans, think about it! please don't think less of the Backstreet Boys just coz of what you saw or heard on tv. 1 or 2 "edited" episodes shouldn't change a 10+ year relationship with these guys!! how are u gonna throw away your fan relationship with BSB over just ONE episode that was edited?! We all know what media does! And besides, if ur gonna stop being a fan because of this, then that means you weren't a true fan to begin with!
A true fan would stick by them regardless of what's portrayed on tv or in the media!! Sure, we'll voice our opinions and feedback but we won't turn our backs away from them! (and I'm happy to be one of those true fans!)
So show some love for the Boys if ur here!
Peace out!

My points exactly!
Not that we wanna give these "no longer bsb fans" any more attention in this forum, but as true fans (which there are a lot of us in here), we feel the need to back up the Boys and support them any way we can, even if it means telling these "no longer bsb fans" off! And my point exactly to those BSB supporters who've commented previously, the guys were totally acting... if u are a true fan you could easily tell coz they were trying so hard to keep a straight face, they're all looking at each other like who wants to say something next? us true fans are able to find the episode funny because we know they wouldn't be that rude in person (ask every fan who've met them before, they're some of the most humble, down-to-earth guys despite 15 years in the spotlight!). if they were really being themselves in the show, Trace would have had it too easy, it wouldn't be a challenge in the Apprentice competition, especially when it came down to the final 2 contestants?? he couldn't get out that easy, so producers must have told BSB to put out an act as best they can. that just showed us how much more talented the Boys are coz it obviously came off as snotty and spoiled and many ppl really believed that's the kind of person they are. it's an act! learn to not take these 'reality' shows so seriously! "House of Carters" portrayed Nick in more ways than one and we still love him! and that was more than one episode!!! AJ's drug/alcohol 'n rehab also portrayed him in even worser ways but he came thru... and he still got fans supporting him! Point is, to those haters who come in and put down BSB in wrong ways, be prepared to hear it from their true fans coz we'll still be here!
so to all those who turned their backs on BSB because of 5 (or less) minutes.... that's just your lost, our gain coz we don't need u anyway! BSB's TRUE FANS outnumber ya'll!
PEACE!

well all i'll say to the so called fans that have gone off them after this is who needs them, and were they real fans to begin with, coz if they were then they would know that the bsb are not like that at all, i haven't seen it myself as we don't get it over here and i can't view it on youtube as i'm using a library computer that has no sound, but from what i've read the guys were just acting up for the camera and believe me they WILL have been told to give this guy a hard time, and if they chose to have some fun with it then good on them they are still human after all and the show is meant to be entertaining.

As long as there'll be music, we'll be coming back again
I couldn't agree more! with both of you! That is how and when the true colours of the fake fans come out!

i couldn't have said things better LocaLxLove. I totally agree!!! And the whole thing about no longer being a "fan", is ridiculous, you can't let the Boys down just for an edited episode. We all know the Boys for being down to earth. We know the Boys are not demanding celebs, and i think the wheatgrass thing was hilarious haha! if you are no longer a fan just because of this, you were never a TRUE FAN.

Yes. I agree. And to those who are getting so up in arms about the Boys' "diva-like" behaviour that they're rescinding their fanhood, good: just that many less shrieking banshees drowning out the music when I see the Boys in concert this year.
It is soo funny how some people don't see it that way. I mean it was a joke because we all know that they are down to earth!!! I also put some of my comments on too. I mean like so many people have stopped being a fan cause they were joking. I mean wheatgrass, how isn't that funny?!

FANS THEY WERE PLAYING THE PART OF THE SPOILED CELEBRITY. JUST ACTING! IT WAS THEIR JOB TO GIVE TRACE A HARD TIME. IT IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE SHOW. TRUMP WANTS TO SEE HOW CANDIATES HANDLE PROBLEMS THAT ARISE DURING A PROJECT. THEY ALL PLAYED THEIR PART VERY WELL! IT WAS SO FUNNY!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT SHOW! THE SHOW IS A GREAT WAY TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT BACKSTREET BOYS ARE BACK! THEIR TRUE FANS KNOW IT IS ALL A SHOW!! LOVE BSB!
I too haven't seen the show but do you really think the guys are like that! NO !!!
I honestly cant believe how some people could think the guys are that. It's TV, its written in the script, there performing !!
So to all the fans who say there not fans anymore, come on! give the guys some slack.
yes, it's all about the ratings..this is a reality TV show! if they didn't do something to make it interesting, people wouldn't watch. If you have watched previous seasons of Apprentice (which I have), you know that this happens at EVERY finale. They have to make it difficult, and throw "obstacles" at the contestest to see if they pass the test. The Boys were obviously asked to make up some stuff to push Trace's buttons. I really wouldn't take this seriously at all.
The Boys looked great though! And this is exactly what they wanted (by agreeing to appear on the show), for people to be talking about them and noticing them again.
amen, tv is ridiculous. dont blame the boys for being FUNNY and makin some shmuck work harder for his win.

*peaceup, atowndown.
They weren't being immature but to Trace their demands were ridiculous because he did have anything like that while he was performing. We do have to keep in mind though that the guys have grown up in the spot light and have pretty much had everything at their finger tips... so their reactions to the lack of meeting their demands are a little understandable. I side with the boys but I understand how Trace feels.

Ask not what the Backstreet Boys can do for you, but what can you do for the Backstreet Boys?!!!!!!
I agree, and I have a slight feeling that they could have been fed some lines to give the show a more dramatic effect.
All I have to say I can't wait until next week when AJ forgets his nailpolish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alex &
Well said LocalxLove....although I haven't seen the show(cant get it over here) I can't believe that it really can be that bad that people are turning their backs on the boys...it's madness. If you really are a true fan then yes you'd disagree with what was said or done but to vow never to be a fan again is going a bit far. I agree so much is edited on these kind of shows that its not quite real to what actually happens..it's all done to boost the ratings and such.
I am 100% sure that if I ever get to see the clips that it will never make me turn my back on the Boys......one piece of tv can't undo 15yrs of great music and appreciation of the fans...I'll still buy their music and still be a huge fan...I may not like what happens but I won't stop being a backstreet fan.
