I'm a fan because the music is timeless. It never gets old and these guys seem to have a song for any mood that you might be in. The Boys got me through the hard times in middle school and high school (at least, early high school). Even though all the Boys are old than I, it feels as if I've watched them grow up...and I really grew up along with them. When I listen to their old stuff, especially, I get a feeling of nostalgia and it really takes me back to those days.
The music is real and the Boys have never pretended to be anyone they're not. They totally rock it out in concert and you can really see that they're doing what they love. It's clear that they don't do this for the money but because it's what they're meant to do and it's what makes them happy.
I know that it will most likely all come to an end someday, but I know that when that happens, it will be because the Boys have other callings in life. They can't be expected to continue forever when their hearts are no longer in it. (Take, for example, Kevin)...If they did, the music would lose its feeling of honesty, which is what their music has always been about.
Until then, and beyond, I will remain a fan. I may not be the obsessed girl who knows every possible detail about the Boys anymore and I may not have a room plastered with posters and pictures anymore, but that doesn't mean I've lost my true appreciation for the music and what it stands for. I'll never lose that.
