The show was great! only the entry was chaotic, i was squashed, they pushed like crazy to get in! once inside i was standing at the podium! i couldnt believe it, i was so happy! it was the first time that i would see the guys in real life! they sang the songs i knew and the performance was great. when they wove at the public i was almost fainting no seriously now, i enjoyd every minute of it. I hope that the guys will come to Belgium again verry soon! i will be there again! it was fabulous!!

BRUXELLES Ils ne sont pas peu fiers de leur 15 ans de carrière, les Backstreet Boys. Seraient-ils réellement Unbreakable (incassables), comme le laisse entendre le titre de leur dernier album ? À voir, dimanche soir sur la scène de Forest National, les quatre boys de ce band américain - orphelin de son membre le plus âgé, Kevin, qui a préféré se consacrer à sa vie privée -, on est forcé d'admettre que des mecs comme ça, la pop music n'en fait plus. Et on se sent gagné d'une belle nostalgie des années 90...
Car les Backstreet ont beau avoir mûri (ils ont aujourd'hui entre 27 et 34 ans), ils n'ont pas jeté aux orties ce qui a fait leur succès et fait fondre des millions de jeunes filles à travers le monde : leurs jolies voix (très agréables sur des slows certes mièvres mais efficaces comme As long as you love me ou Incomplete) et leurs chorégraphies maîtrisées, de l'ouverture sur un ring de boxe avec Larger than Life au très attendu préfinal Everybody. Et puis, comme nous le confie A.J., le tatoué sympa du groupe - qui offrira d'ailleurs durant le show un entraînant morceau punk de son cru, extrait d'un album solo à venir -, si la magie des Backstreet opère toujours (mais dans une moindre mesure), c'est parce que ses membres sont "tous différents". Et qu'ils se différencient sur scène (ne serait-ce que vestimentairement). Nick (Carter), l'attrape-fille médiatisé, est sexy et surexcité - et limite incontrôlable -, le sage Brian (malheureusement un peu malade dimanche) fait office de bon élève, tandis qu'A.J. incarne le rebelle aux airs de rockeur (impressionnant quand il s'agit d'opérer quelques pas de danse) et Howie compte sur son charme latino pour capter l'attention de la salle.
Au final, les BSB peuvent se targuer d'être LES survivants d'un genre. Un genre qu'ils exploitent toujours avec, certes, des chansons (comme Any Other Way ou Helpless when she smiles) très efficaces, mais qui sonnent parfois un peu trop mielleux. Peu importe, certains semblent prêts à suivre le groupe pendant encore 15 autres années. Comme s'en réjouit d'ailleurs A.J., à quelques heures du show...
Depuis vos débuts, vous avez bien sûr mûri, mais le groupe est-il différent aujourd'hui ?
"Je crois que ce qui a plus changé, c'est la façon dont on est les uns avec les autres. Il y a une nouvelle forme de respect entre nous. On a appris qui on était individuellement et au sein du groupe. Ces gars, c'est ma famille, en dehors de ma vraie famille. Ce sont mes frères depuis 15 ans."
La relation avec vos fans semble aussi avoir évolué...
"Absolument... Maintenant, nos fans viennent avec leurs époux. Certains ont des enfants. Les fans donnent naissance à une nouvelle génération de fans ! Et puis, on reconnaît aussi des visages dans la foule. Des filles qui nous suivent depuis nos tout débuts. Il se peut que parfois nos fans soient un peu excitées, mais c'est parce qu'elles ne savent pas quand elles nous reverront. Il est arrivé que certaines se faufilent dans les loges quand on s'habille..."
Vous avez des nouvelles de Kevin depuis qu'il a quitté le groupe ?
"Il est venu nous voir avec son fils. Il a l'air heureux. Je crois que ça lui manque d'être sur scène, et qu'on lui manque aussi. Bien sûr, il nous manque aussi. Et s'il appelle pour revenir, il sera le bienvenu !"

What a show last night in Brussels! At first the sound was'nt that good but someone from the crew came over to check it out himself and it just got better and better.
Ook nog eens een dikke proficiat aan alle Nederlands fans die aanwezig waren, ik denk dat jullie zelfs in de meerderheid waren. Jullie hebben er echt ook sfeer in gebracht en een paar leuke gadgets Denk ik toch ... de apenmaskers, hawaiaans "oranje" rokje ...
I have to say while getting older myself the 'drive' of the concert has changed a bit ... We took the seats at the right hand just above the stage. Great view I must say, even the guys did see us up there I hope that brian saw my old flag of him! At the end youc ould see he got tired but he carries out till the end! THX B-rock! You're the best! Even when you feel ill you sing like an angel!
Did anybody cought Nick's coat? Brian threw it in the audiance after all, i saw some girls grabbing it.
I had already seen some videos on You tube of the previous concerts ... so i knew what to expect. That kind of spoiled the surprise ... but hey, it was great singing along with the OLD and NEW songs. Although I must say the crowd shouted / sang the loudest when they played the old songs!
Also the comments from the Dutch concert were correct ... Very 'heavy' lights and the sounds wasn't that good at the begining of the show. Also the comment that was given on the extra songs at end was correct ... I also did expect to hear Quit Playing Games at the end ... Or at least 2 / 3 songs ...
Hope the everybody had a nice evening and a great concert!

I went to the show in the Netherlands and had such a great time that my best friend and me decided to go to Brussels as well =) And we are so happy we did! I felt bad for Brian who (especially around the time they did HWSS) seemed to get more ill by the second.. I seriously thought he'd call it quits.. So applause to you for holding on..
But on to the rest of the show.. apart from the fact it was blazing hot in the venue (I noticed even Howie and Nick mentioned it to each other), it was amazing.. I was very close to the stage, so I had a great view.. You guys made me laugh, smile, dance and just enjoy the show. So thank you and hope to see you soon!

Oh my god it was amazing last night , guys you totally rocked the place. I was a little worried that because there were fewer people then in Holland that there wouldn't be so much atmosphere but boy was I wrong. I danced and I screamed untill I couldn't scream anymore and had one of the best nights of my life. Because Vorst is smaller then Ahoy we had such a good view and we could totally see all of the boys the way we need to see them Boys don't ever quit okay keep on singing keep on touring for I'll come and see you every time because you just rock my world. Keep the backstreet pride alive girls this especially goes out to all the Belgian fans, be proud to be a fan of the best band in the world. Love you boys
I just wanted to write you my feedback of the show in Brussels yesterday....
The good points: you still got great energy... The entrance was just really cool... The ring is a good idea and "Larger than life" is the perfect start for the show... The remix with 'stronger" is great too !
You still have amazing voices... Big up to Brian who was sick but performed as if he wasn't !! His voice was just really good...
And man, you can dance like no other... It really bring me back in 1998... That was a great feeling !!
I also liked the moment aroung the "fire" where we can enjoy your harmonies...
The low points: the part of the show sitting on chairs is a bit too long... and I didn't like the fact that you sang such a great song like "show me the meaning..." on a table , playing cards as if you din't care of the song, which is one of your best !
I was also expecting some songs like "Everything but mine", "Something that I already know", "Siberia" or "Unsuspecting sunday afternoon"... but I guess everybody has their favorite tracks !
It's always a pleasure to see you life cause you've been part of my teenage years, I grew up with your music... and you're still making great pop album...
Keep on doing great music and come back in Belgium soon...

I loved it yesterday... Too bad Brian was ill. On the soundcheck he came only on stage for two minutes. Poor guy. I was so worried about him and really couldn't believe he did the full show. Thanx for holding on Brian!!!

First of all I went to the dutch concert too and vorst is soooo small when u compare it to ahoy .. but u dont hear me complaining! Now I atleast could see them well though it was hard to resist jumping over the loge and running to the front row! with that less ppl it seemed easy hehe.
Besides the microphone squeeking now and then the concert was great! "Everybody" was again the hottest song of the whole concert! and the fans seemed to be that slightly bit more hysterical than the Dutchies hehe felt like a young teenager again
Hope this concert isnt a launch to their solo career, THEY HAVE TO COME BACK AGAIN SOON!!!! I'll be waiting!
